Kidney Research UK – Make Your Mark

BACKGROUND

With more than 5,500 people on the waiting list for a kidney transplant in the UK, ON were tasked with raising awareness of living kidney donations and encouraging the public to consider becoming a living donor to someone they don’t know through the Make Your Mark campaign.

 

OUR THINKING

The campaign was launched by the charities Kidney Research UK and Give a Kidney who wanted to help more people understand what it means to be a living donor and change the lives of kidney disease sufferers. As well as the Chief Executive of Kidney Research UK, we were lucky enough to be able to speak to extraordinary people who had donated their kidney to loved ones, friends… and strangers.

 

RESULTS

The campaign resonated with broadcasters up and down the country – reaching an audience of over 10 million listeners – and was topped off with a compelling piece with one of our altruistic case studies on BBC Radio 5 Live.
