BRITISH RED CROSS – HEATWAVE

BACKGROUND

The British Red Cross wanted to help people prepare and protect themselves and others from the rising risks of heatwaves in the UK. The charity warned there is a dangerous perception gap in the UK when it comes to the public’s awareness of the risk of heat

 

OUR THINKING

In the midst of the heatwave and armed with three different guests from British Red Cross, the team approached broadcasters with key findings from the Feeling the Heat report. The British love talking about the weather so we knew that this would sit nicely on news and weather bulletins, as well as more longer conversational programmes.

 

RESULTS

The project achieved widespread coverage across television and radio output, including prime spots on BBC News, Sky News, Times Radio and the Greatest Hits Network… wrapping up with over 50 pieces of coverage.
