ON were asked help to promote Royal Mail’s trial launch of their new zero emission e-Trikes being tested for letter and parcel deliveries.
Our approach was to put real focus on the positive environmental impact of the new zero-emission, pedal powdered e-Trikes. ‘Eco-friendly’ stories are a popular media topic as people become more environmentally conscious and look to create a ‘greener’ future. However, as a heritage brand Royal Mail also has a long and rich history that we didn’t want to ignore. So, we also inspired broadcasters to reflect back on the company’s 500-year history and all of the delivery vehicles used across the centuries from horse and cart to diesel vans and eventually, our new e-Trikes!
The announcement and story reached an audience of over 16 million listeners and viewers.
Our TV coverage included ITV National News, who ran the story of Royal Mail’s historic vehicles and new e-Trikes in their lunchtime news, as well as other regional ITV Evening News.
